Description of Job:The purpose of this position is to provide maintenance support during the construction and commissioning of the VBC-Osage Fermentation Campus, and eventually transition into a plant maintenance position when the plant becomes operational.Principal Responsibilities:-Maintenance and winterization/weatherization of process equipment as it is installed on site.-Assist various members of the management team in developing key programs and initiatives. The candidate will be expected to take an active role in helping to develop plant programs such as lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), hot works, confined entry, workplace inspections, job hazard assessments (JHA's), etc. -Take an active role in the Fermentation Campus' development of world class safety and environmental programs.-Support, implement, and ensure compliance with all department and company policies and procedures.-Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operation of the plant office-Perform other tasks as specified by the manager.Experience:-Required: 5+ years relevant experience, including mechanical maintenance, boiler operation, water testing, plumbing, electrical, welding, and work order protocol.-Preferred: 7+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with an emphasis on plant start-up and commissioning. -Strong understanding of mechanical equipment operation including, pumps, motors, centrifuges, air compressors, chillers, boilers, agitators, bag house (BH) dust collectors and reverse osmosis (RO) water purification. -A self starter with a desire to be part of a world class manufacturing team.-Strong experience with preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, lubrication routes and work order development from inspection programs and operation and maintenance (O.and.M) manuals.-Welding experience including SMAW, GMAW, MIG, TIG, Air Arc, Plasma, and Oxy-Acetylene cutting.-Ability to react quickly to challenges and opportunities and be willing to work in a variety of roles to ensure team success.-Good interpersonal communication, public speaking and writing skills; ability to build relationships needed for program success.
