          Hours: Monday-Friday 4:30p-8p may need to cover days occasionally
          Salary Range: Pay Grade 11 $12.28 to $17.20

          * *Position will work in new Urgent Care Clinic*
          JOB SUMMARY:This person provides support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.

          QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants. Certification or Registration as a medical assistant is required or willing to obtain by January 1, 2014. A minimum of six months work experience in a health care facility performing duties relating to patient care is preferred. Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong computer and telephone skills. Flexibility and adaptability. A sense of the importance of the medical assistant’s role as a patient advocate. Willingness to be accountable/responsible for own actions. Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status. Completes Mandatory Reporting requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
