          PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT STUDIES - Tenure Track Faculty
          St. Ambrose University invites applications for the position of academic coordinator of its newly developing Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program. We seek an enthusiastic individual who is interested in assisting with the development of this program. The MPAS program resides in the College of Health and Human Services which currently serves over 1300 students preparing for careers in education, health care, and human services. This faculty member will be responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the academic program; classroom and laboratory teaching, advising, and other traditional faculty roles including research and scholarly activities, and service. Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure as a physician assistant in the state of Iowa, a minimum of five years clinical practice experience, and master's degree in physician assistant studies or related field are required. Preference will be given to applicants with a prior teaching experience in a physician assistant program, an earned doctorate in a related field, and a record of scholarship.
